Lydbrook Primary School's Wellbeing Ambassadors 2024/ 2025
Wellbeing Ambassadors 2024/ 2025
At Lydbrook School we have six Y5 and Y6 Wellbeing Ambassadors.
Wellbeing Ambassadors are pupils who have shown a real interest in championing positive mental health and wellbeing. These pupils are keen to share their learning around mental health and advertise the importance of self-care.
The selection process was in October 2024 when the children gave presentations to the rest of the class/ class teacher and the school’s Wellbeing Lead. They completed powerpoints and posters for the task, using Miss Sprawson’s success criteria.
The children and teachers were so impressed with their presentations! They spoke very confidently on the subject of mental health, and gave some excellent ideas on what the school to do to ensure the children were safe and happy. They also demonstrated all the qualities which we were looking for, kindness, empathy, and a caring attitude.
The Ambassadors held their first Jigsaw assembly in October 2024 on the theme of 'Being Me In My World'.

Wellbeing Ambassadors: Task 3
As part of Mental Health Week, the Ambassadors set a task to the children in the school: to come up with 10 Acts of Kindness which we can introduce to Lydbrook Primary School.
The Ambassadors will be looking at the results, and coming up with a 'final 10' Acts of Kindness which will be promoted within the school.
Lydbrook School's Kindness Flower
The Wellbeing Ambassadors looked at the children's ideas for acts of kindness, and the most popular acts have been chosen and represented in our school flower.
The children in the school will be encouraged to show these kindness acts and rewarded with a 'kindness sticker'.
